Crystal meth is the abbreviated version for crystal methamphetamine. It is just one form of the drug methamphetamine. It is known by names such as ice, shard, crystal, glass, batu and meth to name a few.
It is a white crystalline drug that looks like crushed up rock candy and it can snorted, smoked, injected or eaten.
Some people transition from smoking marijuana to smoking meth not realizing the highly addictive nature of this drug. It has surpassed cocaine as the drug of choice for young people and meth addiction runs rampant throughout the world.
Over time meth destroys dopamine receptors making impossible for people to feel pleasure. It has a dramatic impact of users health affecting areas such as dental, skin and the mind. It can lead to psychosis, blindness, respiratory failure, kidney failure, chest pain, internal bleeding, brittle bones and malnutrition because of lack of eating and increased metabolism.
